WHO IS DOUG DAVIS?

The Torrance Branch Office of United Fathers of America, Inc., is directed by Doug Davis. As with all personnel at United Fathers of America, Doug was initially a client member of United Fathers of America.

From his initial upbringing in Detroit, Michigan, Doug has developed a healthy fighting spirit for worthwhile causes. One of Doug’s strongest assets is his ability to step outside of himself, to see the other person’s perspective. Additionally, Doug has the uncanny ability to see the “whole” picture. As such, Doug is able to assist fathers in changing their self-defeating mentality into a “can-do” attitude. Doug is fully supported in his work by his significant other, Diana.

The mission, goals and visions of United Fathers of America are very similar to those of Doug’s alma mater, Morehouse College, where Doug graduated with a degree in Political Science. While at Morehouse College, Doug co-founded the Morehouse Mentoring Program and organized the students to go into various Atlanta public schools to assist the under-aided teachers and to help foster a positive image of the African-American male. Without an operating budget to work with, Doug was able to arrange for all mentoring members to attend various local professional sporting events (such as the NBA) and worked closely with the Atlanta Hawks Community Service Program.

Doug has had three (3) years of extensive training in computers, computer networking, data base management and programming. He is certified to build and repair computers by CompTIA. Doug will use his wizardry of computers and networking to bring United Fathers into the 21st century. Doug has already been extremely valuable to United Fathers by stabilizing and assisting United Fathers through a tough administrative transition in the Torrance Branch Office.

Doug’s long term goal is to attend and complete law school, following in the footsteps of his father, Doug, Sr., who was a probate lawyer for over twenty-five (25) years.

When you meet Doug, you will understand the motto that he lives by:

“Death has no bounds, Life has no limits!”
